This online resource for the
mathematical fundamentals of the new science of chaos is suitable
for students at the senior high school level. We begin with a
review of numbers functions and graphs and progress in such a way
that the connection to "regular" math is maintained.
You will learn what iteration is and see demonstrations of the
iteration of some simple functions. We run models of the chaotic
response of some real physical systems, we explore chaos in sets
of complex numbers and we show how fractal images may be
created.
