The time-axis circle appears on this display as an ellipse because of the pitch angle. We will call the time-axis circle a "cycle" as opposed to an orbit. The "cycle period" is the time represented by the length of the circular time axis. Since we are using the name period in conjunction with the orbit, if there is a possibility of confusion I will use "cycle time" as meaning the cycle period.

The cycle time in this example is set to 25 orbit periods so the pendulum completes 25 oscillations in the length of the circular time axis.
